Tara Braucht- owner


Hi! I’m Tara Braucht, owner of Body of Bloomington. I have taken ballet classes since I could walk and after taking ballet, jazz, modern (and pretty much anything dance related I could take) throughout high school and college, I thought I had left my love of dance and fitness for the corporate world. After a few years at a desk, I realized my dream of opening up a completely different type of fitness studio specializing in barre, yoga, and hot yoga, pole fit and a completely different mix of different exercise classes to make fitness fun for everyone.

I am so proud to have opened this facility almost 5 years ago with the love and support of my family and friends and I hope you will love it as much as I do! If there is anything I can ever do to improve your experience, or if you have any feedback or suggestions, feel free to talk with me anytime! I want coming to Body to be the best part of your day!

I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and am a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and am currently working on completing my 500 hour certification.  I look forward to guiding you in the perfect yoga class for you- bring awareness to your body and breath through out your practice if it is your first or 500th time on your yoga mat. I have also taken specialized yoga certifications in prenatal, chakra balance, arm balance training and restorative yoga. I am also an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified group fitness instructor, pilates and prenatal pilates accredited, certified PiYo instructor


Lauren Drury

Hi! I’m Lauren Drury. I loved doing Pilates the moment I took my first class when I was 14 years old. When I heard Tara was opening Body, I knew I had to teach. Tara introduced me to barre, and I have been hooked ever since. I worked at Body for the first year it opened until I relocated for a job in 2013. After a year and a half hiatus from Bloomington, I am back and more excited than ever! In my Pilates and Barre classes, we’ll start work on the legs, then move to arms and finish class with a few ab exercises. While I focus on Barre, Pilates, and Ab Lab, from time to time you can find me subbing Butts N’ Gutts, Cardio Kick or Mat Fusion! I am an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor with a Practical Pilates certificate and look forward to seeing you in class!


Brittany Maubach

My name is Brittany Maubach and I am so excited to be a part of the Body team! Fitness and health have always been a priority to me, and I truly enjoy finding new ways to make workouts fun and exciting.  I fell in love with pole-fitness the very first time I tried it a few years back, and I have been challenging myself to learn more ever since.  I also enjoy learning about nutrition, and I am pretty much obsessed with practicing yoga.  My son, husband and our pets are my whole world, and I love to spend my free time with family and friends.

My pole-fit classes offer a fun, non-traditional workout that really focuses on strengthening the upper body and core as well as flexibility and grace.  Be prepared to work muscles that you didn’t even realize that you had, all while listening to great music and learning something new. Come see me soon for a sassy workout that you’ll be telling all of your friends about!




Carissa Hodgins

Hi I’m Carissa Hodgins. My passion for fitness began a few years ago as a way to manage stress and has now transformed into something I enjoy sharing with others.  I have been practicing Yoga for over 10 years and enjoy finding creative low impact forms of exercise.  In addition to Yoga, Barre and mat fusion have become my favorite classes. I am an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, a YogaFit Certified Yoga Instructor, and a YogaFit Trained Prenatal Yoga Instructor. I also share my life with the most amazing gentlemen, my husband and Doberman. When not exercising, I enjoy baking, reading and traveling to new destinations.




Kyli Overfelt

Howdy! My name is Kyli, and I’ve always wanted to run away and join the circus. When I walked into my first pole class in 2014, I got that chance. I’d tried every other sport from soccer to roller derby looking for my perfect fit, but until I found Pole, nothing clicked.

I am AFAA certified to lead fitness classes and am a fully certified pole instructor through X-Pert. Teaching Pole and circus classes is my passion, but in my off time I love to hang out with my husband and our fur babies, do missions work through my church, play at the gym, and read comic books and fantasy novels. I fully enjoy being a weirdo.

Devin McCloskey




Hi! My name is Devin McCloskey, and I had been taking pole fit classes at Body for two years before I became an instructor- and I’m so excited to join the team! I am always trying to find new, fun, and effective ways to stay in shape. Pole fitness is a blast and truly gives your muscles a workout that you have never experienced. I also love to teach private parties, which you can book on Friday or Saturday nights for a fun girls night!

I make class accessible for all levels in a comfortable environment. Join me for a new, fun-filled workout that you will be telling everyone about!

Allison Vaughn


Hi! My name is Allison Vaughn.   I started taking ballet at the age of 3 and continued with ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop through high school.  I taught dance classes through out college and as I took my first barre class a few years ago at Body- I knew I was hooked! It is such an amazing work out!  My favorite thing about being an instructor is helping people of all levels achieve their fitness goals- while having a great time!

I also have three kids and am an avid runner and am running a marathon this Spring. My classes are challenging and upbeat and I hope to see you soon at one of my classes. 






Lieschen Grussing

Hi! I am Lieschen Grussing! I mentor people who want to take their health and fitness to the next level! I have over 20 years of expertise as an LGPA professional golfer and 10 years as a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and I am ready to inspire and guide you to a healthier, stronger, more fit you! My mental toughness comes from playing on the LPGA Futures Tour for 6 years, while earning exemptions into the Women’s US Open, The LPGA Championship and many other professional tournaments.

While I am not assisting others with solutions to get healthy, you can find me indulging in the outdoors; golfing, biking, scuba diving, or just with my toes in the sand with a good book!

Hi- I am Josh Manning and I work full time as a high school teacher in Decatur.  I have taught and coached all of my adult life, working with students and athletes from junior high to the professional level.  I was exposed to hot yoga approximately ten years ago and have since considered it a blessing.

I like to lead a class that will challenge each participant, yet comfortable enough for anyone looking to practice.  I like to try to take time for each part of the body with a variety of poses, holding some for extended periods, using a gentle flow at times and knowing when to push or back off the intensity level.

I have lead yoga classes at private studios, to college athletic teams while serving as strength and conditioning coach, and to high school students in physical education class and athletic practices.  I am very thankful and eager for the opportunity to lead yoga sessions at Body of Bloomington
