Are you interested in learning how to pole dance, or do you have experience and are wondering how to get involved with the Pole Dance classes here at Body? You've come to the right place. At Body, safety is of the utmost importance, so we have set up a leveled system in order to help you progress safely along your pole journey.
If you are new to pole, you'll start with one (or more) of our "Intro to Pole" 4-week series. Once you feel comfortable with that material, we recommend proceeding to one of our 6-week "Level 1 Pole Intensives" to really dig deeper into the fundamental moves, transitions, and safety concepts of pole. We offer a 6-week Level 2 Intensive for those that have mastered the Level 1 material and are ready to expand their inverted knowledge. If you're interested in eventually progressing to the Level 3 classes, a skills assessment is REQUIRED before permission to join the class is offered.
If you have prior pole experience from a different setting, a skills assessment is still required to make sure your idea of safety and skill lines up with ours. Please don't be offended if we don't immediately give you permission to enter the class level you wish to be in: again, safety is THE most important thing and we will not allow that to be jeopardized.
Walk-ins are not accepted for pole classes.
Interested in Pole but not sure where to start? Our Intro to Pole workshops sessions are the perfect place. $50 for all 4 weeks, we run our Intro sessions monthly. These sessions will give you the foundations you need to safely move your body around the pole with confidence, and will teach you the fundamental moves needed to progress in your pole journey. Most clients take Intro to Pole multiple times, so grab a friend and sign up! Pre-registration is required, we are unable to accommodate walk-ins in any of our Pole classes.
*PLEASE check out Studio Policies page to find a list of our Intro to Pole policies before you register.
(Check out our info on Curves and Claws Intro to Pole if you’re looking for an option geared toward plus-sized individuals)
After you’ve become comfortable with all the moves and transitions in Intro to Pole, you’re welcome to sign up for our 6-week Pole Level 1 intensive. This course will lead you through more of the fundamental moves needed to advance through to higher levels of Pole, such as Jasmine, Hood Ornament, Climbing work, and Inverting (yes, you get to learn how to go upside down)!
This course is a 6-week series and costs $80 for all 6 weeks. It will sell out FAST, so stalk our Facebook page for enrollment openings.
Experience is required.
After you’ve taken Intro and have a solid foundation in Pole Level 1, you can join our Level 1/2 classes. Unlike our Intro sessions, these are individual classes that you drop in and out of, they do NOT run in monthly sessions. These classes will have trick and combo options for all levels. Please wear or bring shorts with you, and avoid applying lotion the day of class.
Experience is required.
Pole Level 2 is our intermediate class, where we work on increasingly difficult tricks and combos, including inverts, leg hangs, shoulder mounts, aerial combos, new transitions, and static rotations.
