We are beyond excited to bring you with us tonight to experience the hard work and dedication that the folks here have put into their performances. The past few months have felt electric as everyone has been pouring sweat and creativity into the pieces of art that will be displayed here this evening. Before we begin, let's go over a bit of Pole Show etiquette:

Chapter One: Oregon Trail, Bitch:
Laura and Sandy said farewell to their son Timmy (only 5 spaces in the wagon) and loaded up their remaining 3 children. With hope in their eyes and the promise of a better life, they started their journey down the Oregon Trail. The journey was going well but unfortunately tragedy would fall upon the Little Thots repeatedly, starting first at the Kansas City River Crossing. Their wagon tipped over as they tried to ford the river and their only daughter, Sarah, drowned. Continuing forward, they eventually made it to Fort Kearny where, just as the snow started to fall, their eldest son Jordan went and broke his leg for no fucking reason and perished. Soon after, their only remaining child Johnny, came down with a fever and ultimately died after contracting dysentery.
With their hope crumbling and supplies dwindling, Laura and Sandy continued towards Oregon until they reached the Blue Mountains, where a series of unfortunate ailments came down on Laura. Between the cholera, the broken arm, and measles Laura succumbed to exhaustion. Sandy managed to muster the strength to make it the rest of the way to Oregon, overwhelmingly haunted by the weight of grief.

Pole is hard and my journey has been almost 2 years in the making, but for every discouraging, "what the heck, body??? why can't you do THAT?!?!", it feels sooooo good when I get an encouraging, "oh snap! I didn't know my body could THAT!!!!" and it makes showing up to class worth it on so many levels. I am super thankful to Body of Bloom

My name is Alyssa (aka "Brink"). I have been poling for the past 2-3 years, but have just recently gotten into heels choreo. This is my 2nd solo performance for a showcase, but maybe one day I'll dip my toes into the competitive world.
Just two best friends, who love to laugh and have fun. Decided to put their love of musical theater into a fun pole routine. Hope you enjoy!

This is Trader Joe's third public performance. She started dancing in August 2024 and instantly fell in love with it. She competed for the first time in May of 2025, and if all goes to plan, the piece you see tonight will also be performed at the Memorial competition in March. Enjoy!

I've been poling since 2017 and got certified to teach in 2024. I have loved discovering my personal movement style and self expression at Body of Bloomington, and am grateful for the opportunity to take all of the silly ideas bouncing around in my brain and turn them into something fun to share with my friends. Stay weird.

Yet even divinity has its flaw, its Achilles heel.

Hello! I'm Amelia, I'm an instructor here at Body. When I dance I love to have a character. Like a Siren in the ocean. The Lore of a Siren is interesting.... If they didn't catch you while out at sea. Then you would go mad; you couldn't escape the sound calling to you.... till you walk out to the ocean on your own free will.

I've been poling for nearly four years, with one prior showcase and two PSO competitions under my belt. I was lucky enough to bring home a silver medal in my second competition. After an extended break from performing due to a series of health issues, I am so excited to make my dramatic re-entry to performing in Lore!
