¡Hola! I’m Narce and I was a student at Body of Bloomington for three years before stepping into this role. I enjoy the creative and safe space Body has created for me. I am excited and determined to help extend those pivotal features into the Bloomington-Normal community. In addition to my role at Body, I am a doctoral student in the History Department at the University of Champaign-Urbana where I research sex work(ers), women, migration, immigration, feminisms, and the transnational relationship between Latin America and the United States, during the 1970s to 2000. In my free time, I enjoy furthering my pole journey, reading romance novels, all things glitter, watching anime, and hanging out with my cat, Chef.

Hey y’all! My name is Abby and I am your Community Outreach and Events Coordinator! I will be writing your newsletters, coming up with fun studio events, and getting our name out into the community!
I have about 9 years of experience in pole/aerial arts with many of those years spent coaching. I was a member of the Gamma Phi Circus for 4 years, specializing in rigging and stage crew operations. I choreographed and coached the Junior Gamma Phi Circus for 3 of those years.
Pole has completely changed the course of my life. I would’ve never joined the circus, nor would I have ended up at Body of Bloomington.
In high school, pole was a sport to compete and show my physical strength. In college, it was a mental sanctuary for me to work out some of those first baby steps of adulthood. Post-grad, it is my home. No matter where I am in the world, I will always be able to find a place to pole. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
